Hilversum, 11 June 2010 – Vodafone Netherlands and Inter Access join forces on Inter Access’ WorkPlace 2.0-solution. Vodafone delivers the necessary communication services and data exchange between locations, which enable mobile working.
Inter Access takes care of the underlying information architecture and the application landscape that support the new way of working. The collaboration brings mobile working and the new way of working together in one integrated solution: WorkPlace 2.0. WorkPlace 2.0 can be delivered from the cloud or implemented especially for a customer.
With WorkPlace 2.0, Vodafone Netherlands and Inter Access deliver an integrated, flexible and transparent workplace- and communication solution. A customer only pays for the functionality he uses. With the help of WorkPlace 2.0, an employee is able to access business information and office applications through any device. Also, it enables him or her to cooperate and communicate with other information workers in- or outside the organization. Except for the practical advantages of mobile working (less traffic, less travelling, less square meters office space required), productivity and effectiveness of the individual employees, as well as flexibility of the organization, are increased. The new way of working is all about sharing of information and the cooperation between information workers.
“In business as well as in government organizations, the attention for the new way of working is rapidly growing”, says Michel de Meijer, CEO of Inter Access. “Mobile working is one of the most important factors in the new way of working and a fundamental change in the way organizations work. Up to now, work processes take a central position in organizations. The new way of working puts people in this position. You offer employees the tools to collaborate better, wherever and whenever they want. With these tools, they can unlock relevant information more quickly and help customers better. The collaboration between Vodafone and Inter Access clusters communication services and the necessary information architecture, with which the new way of working is accessible for a wide target group in the Dutch market.”
Flor Konings, Head of Enterprise Marketing, Vodafone Netherlands says: “At companies and organizations the demand for fully convergent and managed ICT-solutions increases. By collaborating with Inter Access, we enhance our service to our customers and with that we are able to better fulfill the needs of customers and prospects.”
