Inter Access customer successfully deploys WebNext Midoffice Suite
Hilversum/Capelle aan den IJssel, XX December 2009 – The municipality of Capelle aan den IJssel (near Rotterdam) offers its citizens the best public digital services through its website. This is the outcome of the annual overheid.nl monitor (government.nl). The monitor ranks every Dutch municipality, province, district water board and ministry with regard to the web services they provide. The ranking is one of the instruments of the national government to improve services for citizens and to minimize the number of redundant rules for citizens, companies and public bodies. Capelle aan den IJssel ranked eleventh last year.
The municipality of Capelle aan den IJssel provides its web services since 2006 with the Inter Access’ WebNext Midoffice Suite . This solutions offers integrated front and midoffice functionality and is compatible with a large number of other platforms like PinkRoccade, Centric, Meurs (A-RIS), Terb IT (TMare), Beheer Visie (Melddesk/RS8), Alfresco (WfM&DMS), COSA BPM/DMS, BCT Corsa and soon Verseon of Circle. The suite is open standard based and meets all the electronic government requirements. Currently, 35 Dutch municipalities apply the suite for their digital services.
The Capelle municipal website offers various digital features. For instance, a 24/7 e-counter is open to citizens for certificates, assessments, leaflets, brochures and to lodge objections. Citizens can also ask questions to the municipal information centre through a chat feature. Moreover, the website offers visually impaired a speech option or large print.

This will allow citizens and companies to retrieve certain files on their Personal Internet Page. With this option, Capelle will make an important next step in public electronic service.”
