Hilversum, 24 October 2008 – At the Computable Award Gala 2008 in Amsterdam, ICT service provider Inter Access was granted the award for the most socially responsible enterprise of 2008.
The company has received the award for their work in Africa. Since 2006, Inter Access donates their support to ICT projects in Western Africa, in cooperation with the International Institute for Communication and Development (IICD). Senior consultants are given the opportunity to contribute to the further development of countries in this part of the world. So far, projects have been completed in Burkina Faso, Mali, Tanzania, Ghana and Uganda.
“We are very happy with this special award and consider it recognition for our support of and cooperation in IICD projects,” says Michel de Meijer, General Manager at Inter Access.
“With these projects, we want to contribute to the development of third world countries without any commercial motives. Even so, we think the Computable Award is an important recognition of these projects in which we can optimally use our knowledge and expertise.”
