Hilversum, 27 January 2010 ― ICT service provider Inter Access will cluster all its knowledge in the field of Enterprise Content Management (ECM), Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Quality.
In view of this competence clustering, Inter Access has established the Enterprise Information Management (EIM) Competence Center.
According to Inter Access, its customers will experience a growth in the next five years, resulting in the need for a so called Enterprise 2.0 information landscape. This landscape will form the foundation of the 'New Way of Working'. In this new concept, employees will have access to relevant company data, always and everywhere. Independent from time, place and device, they will be able to share, process and present this information. This is a development confirmed by analysts like Gartner.
In order to enable the New Way of Working, it is necessary to break through the existing technology walls around ECM and BI. It is also necessary to raise business intelligence to an umbrella level. The foundation of the Inter Access EIM Competence Center will cluster the existing knowledge present at various BI and ECM platforms. Inter Access has a broad expertise in these fields, built-up around solutions of various major software suppliers like IBM, SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, Kofax and Informatica. Besides, the company has expertise in the field of open source software like Alfresco and Pentaho.
“Currently, we take a strong market position in many areas and sub areas of business intelligence and content management. Only, this no longer suffices,” said Han Dieperink, member of the board of Inter Access. “The New Way of Working demands integration of those areas of expertise. And with this unique EIM Competence Center we are able to do just that.”
