Hilversum, Amsterdam, 29 April 2009 – Following a European tender, the municipality of Amsterdam has selected Inter Access as a framework partner for four parcels.
Inter Access will support the municipality of Amsterdam in the area of strategic ICT issues, project and line management, system development and management and maintenance. Amsterdam and Inter Access signed a two-year agreement with an option for an extension for a maximum of two years. 33 parties participated in the tender. The contract was signed by Evelyn Lindeman, manager of the Financial Group of the municipality of Amsterdam, and Michel de Meijer, CEO at Inter Access.
Since its foundation in 1979, Inter Access has had connections with the municipality of Amsterdam. The company developed for example the GBA/GBS system for Amsterdam, in cooperation with the then GCEI (Gemeentelijk Computercentrum Elektronische Informatieverwerking, Municipal Computer Centre for Electronic Data Processing).
Through the years, Inter Access has worked with nearly all the fifty services, companies and submunicipalities within the municipality, in the area of consultancy, project management, system development, management and maintenance and infrastructure.
“We are very happy that the municipality of Amsterdam has decided to continue their relationship with Inter Access,” says Michel de Meijer, CEO at Inter Access. “Throughout our cooperation of many years, we have developed a lot of knowledge and connections which allow us to offer high-quality services in all areas. This is why Inter Access is looking forward to the next two years, during which we will combine our expertise and solutions into effective government solutions.”
Earlier this year, Inter Access signed a similar framework agreement with ‘fellow G4 municipality’ The Hague for services in the area of management and support. Inter Access provides the municipality of The Hague with services in several areas, including system administration, network administration, user support, application management, functional management, database management, service desk and service management.
