Hilversum, 12 February 2010 – The Dutch municipality of Lelystad, selects, after a tendering process, Inter Access as IT service provider. Both Inter Access and the municipality have signed a framework agreement for the next two years. After this period, an extension of two years is optional.
The municipality of Lelystad is on the threshold of a number of large, innovative developments. For instance, the municipality embraced the governmental concept ‘Gemeente heeft Antwoord’ (municipality has answers), necessary to develop new services for its residents. With this concept, citizens have access to municipal services through various channels, like email, internet, a physical window and telephone. Besides this, Lelystad chose the ‘The New Way of Working’ as starting point for its office automation. The New Way of Working offers employees in an organization access to company data, independent of time, place and technical tool.
To support the two key developments, The New Way of Working and ‘municipality has answers’, and to develop new services, a powerful ICT environment and information architecture are needed. For this, the municipality frequently needs temporary expertise, amongst other things in the field of ICT consultancy, the development of a Document Management System (DMS), digital workplace, project and ICT management, helpdesk support, website management (CMS), control and development, application packaging, network and database management and telephone support. In all these fields, Inter Access will support the municipality of Lelystad the next few years.
