There is a good relationship between Inter Access and Gelderse Vallei Hospital. The experience of Inter Access in the implementation of Oracle EBS in combination with OZRM was a decisive factor in selection by Gelderse Vallei Hospital.
Gelderse Vallei Hospital has been around for a long time. What began as the Juliana Hospital in Ede, the Protestant Christian District Hospital in Bennekom, the Pieter Pauw Hospital in Wageningen and the Juliana Hospital in Veenendaal over a period of a number of years eventually became the present Gelderse Vallei Hospital . Gelderse Vallei Hospital currently comprises 2,400 employees and 500 hospital beds.
Gelderse Vallei Hospital used an application for its procurement and logistical control and an application for financial transactions. However, from 2006 these applications were no longer supported.
The project undertaken by Inter Access had as its objective: the realisation of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) functionality based on the Oracle Care Reference Model (OZRM). As a result Gelderse Vallei Hospital's outdated applications for procurement, logistical control and financial transactions were phased out at the beginning of 2006 and replaced by the Oracle E-Business Suite application.
Within the project, Inter Access defined the following phases: Initiation, Analysis, Configuration/Validation, Acceptance, Live/Aftercare. The implementation result is to be split into a number of sub-sections:
The project is organised with the following roles: Project Manager, Functional Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) consultants, Technical Oracle EBS consultants Number of staff employed: 1 Project Manager, 5 Functional Consultants, 1 Technical Consultant.
The project to select and implement a new financial and logistics system aligns with the business-wide objectives to better support changes in the organisation and ways of working through the use of modern information systems.
