Inter Access administers the workplaces and complete data centre for HVO Querido. Inter Access provides the workplaces and associated On Demand data centre for 650 employees. In this case, Inter Access provides a completely functional workplace including total back-office in a pay-as-you-go concept. This is what Inter Access calls Workplace on Demand.
HVO-Querido operates on the cutting edge of social integration and mental healthcare. HVO-Querido has been working for more than 100 years for people who need support for housing and integration into society; the homeless, those with no fixed abode, people with psychiatric problems and families in need.
HVO-Querido is responsible for public tasks and provides accommodation, supervision and care to around 2,500 customers. The ICT provisions of HVO Querido have the aim of supporting these tasks, in which the customer registration system is central. Given the nature of the service provision, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, high availability of this customer registration system is essential. For this and the other business-critical applications, HVO-Querido decided to put the ICT service provision out to tender in order to be able to ensure these requirements of availability.
The HVO Querido server park comprises Windows servers, back-up equipment, back-up software, Citrix Metaframe, mail provision (Exchange), workstations and printers, Cisco Routers and 3Com switches VPN network (E-pacity from KPN) for around 26 HVO-Querido locations in Amsterdam.
Inter Access was selected for this commission on the basis of the European tender. In particular, flexibility, references and experience were decisive in the selection procedures.
Inter Access has constructed its IT Utility data centre, with the objective of having this available 24/7 for all its customers working in this environment. Currently, 40 customers are working in this environment which operates 24/7. During open times there is also as standard a helpdesk available for the technical availability and application provision.
