A good outcome has been delivered here, in which the emphasis was on attention to detail and cooperation. In a complex environment, this sensitive process has been undertaken well.
In 2003, the municipality of Amsterdam started an ambitious process of change based on the following: do more and – particularly of note for the general public – do it better for less money. Through making use of modern ICT and without constraining themselves by organisational boundaries. The change process has in view the realisation of substantial savings in the maintenance or improvement of the quality level of the service provision. One of the proposals tabled for the change process is the introduction of "shared services", starting in the areas of HR and ICT.
To provide support, primarily in the setting-up of Personnel & Organisation (together with its supply office) within the ICT Service Center.
Within the ICT Service Center, Inter Access provided support, primarily in setting-up Personnel & Organisation (together with its supply office). This includes the setting-up and integral implementation of a P&O plan having the following points on the agenda:
Everything is undertaken in close cooperation with stakeholders and OR and with consideration of the start-up phase before the transformation. The set-up of the ICT Shared Service Center (renamed ICT Service Center) has, in the meantime, been completed.
In the undertaking of this project, Inter Access employed 1 FTE in project management and 2 FTE project workers.
The order was awarded to Inter Access through a framework agreement ensuing from a European Tender.
The advantage gained is that the ICT Service Center is now ready, after the transition and set-up phase, to start the transformation phase on the planned date. The aim is to complete the transformation phase on 1 January 2009.
