ICTU combines knowledge and skills in the area of ICT and government. ICTU is running various programs for and with government organisations. Policy is thus transformed into concrete government projects. The motto of ICTU is to help governments perform better with ICT. One of the programs within the ICTU is the Rijksweb program.
Inter Access won the order from the Rijksweb program to develop and implement the new nationwide Rijksweb portal based on SAP NetWeaver technology.
With its products and services, Rijksweb supports government employees (officials) in working together in an efficient and effective way under the motto Samen werkt beter (Together works better). Rijksweb products and services are provided through the Rijksweb Intranet. More than 100,000 officials from all departments, as well as the High Councils of State, such as the Office of the Auditor General, the Upper and Lower House of the States General, the Queen's Cabinet, your organisation and the National Ombudsman's Office will be connected through the "National Government Portal" that we are going to build. Rijksweb has been set up on behalf of the pSG council, the consultation body of the acting secretaries general.
As well as supporting communication, Rijksweb helps departments in setting-up interdepartmental processes which demand more specific applications. Individual products and services of Rijksweb are the National Government Address Book (an address book containing all government employees), a virtual group workspace and the option for national government organisations to put their own site on Rijksweb.
